Navigating the Smart Futures Student Dashboard
Smart Futures is a career planning and portfolio platform
for kids, teens, and young adults.
Inside Smart Futures, you’ll find activities that will help
you define your interests, explore your career options and education paths, and
enhance your skills to help prepare you for your future.
To log in, go to https://smartfutures.org
and enter your login username and password. If instructed by your teacher, you may
also be able to use the buttons to login with Clever, ClassLink, or Google.
1: Quick Links
This area of the Dashboard offers links to some of the most commonly used functions.
- Begin Activity #: this will take you to begin the next Activity for your grade band. If you haven't completed any activities yet, the you will be taken to Activity 1 for your grade band
- MEASURE Your Future Ready Math Skills: this link will take you to the Future Ready Math Skills area to work on assessments
- Explore the badges you've earned: from here, you can review the badges you've earned as you complete Activities and Skills assessments and add portfolio items
2: Who Am I? section
This section includes links to available and/or completed Activities and Future Ready Skills assessments. The Activities do not need to be completed in any particular order. However, your teacher may require you to complete certain activities so if you're not sure, check with them.
Activities in earlier grade bands can be completed but will not count towards your Future Ready requirements in most cases. Do not do activities in previous grade bands unless directed to do so by your teacher.
3: Where am I going? section
This section includes links to see the Careers and Career Clusters that the student has selected or wants to explore. Selections are made in these areas through working on some of the Activities, but you can also explore them on your own and make some selections.
4: How do I get there? section
This section includes links to explore and review Programs and Majors and Schools and Colleges, as well as links to the students Plan, Portfolio, and earned Badges. Selections are made in these areas through working on some of the Activities, but you can also explore them on your own and make some selections.
