Using the Alert feature to request students make changes to Activity responses

Using the Alert feature to request students make changes to Activity responses

If you would like to request that a student make changes to a specific area of their Activity responses, you can use the the Alert function to ask them to make changes.
The Alert function is part of the Gradebook report.

To begin, go to the Gradebook report and select the class you want to view progress for. Click on the completed activities highlighted by the light green block to see the student's responses. At the bottom of this, there is a link to create the Alert.

Once you click on that link, you'll be able to enter your comments and requested changes.

When the Alert has been placed, you'll see a message indication the Alert has been placed and the block in the Gradebook report will be Red.

In the Student's account, the Alert will look like this on the Activity.

When the student has resubmitted the activity, the block in the Gradebook report will be dark green and will say "Review".

When you view the student's new responses, you can select whether to approve the response and clear the Alert, or place a new Alert asking for additional changes.
