Assistance for Struggling Readers

The SmartFutures.org site includes several features that should be able to help students are struggling with reading the content:
  1. Responsive Voice integration mean that any text that is highlighted on the text will be read out loud to the user*. The is enabled by default, but if its not working, you can reenable it by clicking on the Responsive Voice icon at the top of the screen.
  2. All videos have captions which can be turned on, and captions should be available in English, Spanish, Chinese, and other languages. This can be enabled by clicking on the icon at the bottom of the videos that looks like a small TV or monitor.
  3. All iSpring activities have audio to match the text that plays automatically. Additionally, the audio clip can be read aloud again by pushing the speaker icon near the text.
*On Chromebooks, there is a conflict and Responsive Voice doesn't work. However, Chromebooks have a built-in screen reader. Here's information on how to enable that: https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/9032490?hl=en
