How to save a screenshot to share with Support

Windows 

To capture your entire screen and automatically save the screenshot, tap the Windows key + Print Screen key. Your screen will briefly go dim to indicate you've just taken a screenshot, and the screenshot will be saved to the Pictures > Screenshots folder.

No Print Screen key?

If your computer doesn't have the PrtScn key, no worries, Microsoft has another keyboard shortcut for you. You can press Fn + Windows logo key + Space Bar to take a screenshot. It will then be saved to the Pictures > Screenshots folder.

Mac

To take a screenshot, press and hold these three keys together: Shift, Command, and 3.
If you see a thumbnail in the corner of your screen, click it to edit the screenshot. Or wait for the screenshot to save to your desktop.

How to capture a portion of the screen

Press and hold these three keys together: Shift, Command, and 4.
Drag the crosshair to select the area of the screen to capture. To move the selection, press and hold Space bar while dragging. To cancel taking the screenshot, press the Esc (Escape) key.

iPad

Take a full-page screenshot

You can take a screenshot of content that exceeds the length of your iPad screen, such as an entire webpage in Safari. Do one of the following:
  1. On an iPad with Face ID: Quickly press and release the top button and either volume button at the same time.
  2. On an iPad with a Home button: Quickly press and release the top button and the Home button at the same time.
  3. Tap the screenshot thumbnail in the lower-left corner of the screen.
  4. Tap Full Page, tap Done, then do one of the following:
  5. Tap Save to Photos to save the screenshot in your Photos  library.
  6. Tap Save PDF to Files, choose a location, then tap Save to save the screenshot in the Files app .

Chromebook

Take a screenshot

  1. If your Chromebook has it, press the Screenshot key .
  2. If your Chromebook doesn't have a Screenshot key , press Shift + Ctrl + Show windows .
  3. If your external keyboard doesn't have a Show windows key , press Ctrl + Shift + F5.
  4. In the menu at the bottom, select Screenshot .
  5. Select an option:
    1. Take a full screen screenshot.
    2. Take a partial screenshot.
    3. Take a window screenshot.
Tips:
  1. On your keyboard, to change the section that you want to screenshot, you can also press the space bar.
  2. You can also change the size of your screenshot. On your keyboard, press the Tab key until one of the circle corners of the section is highlighted.
  3. On your keyboard, to change the height of your screenshot, press the Up arrow  or Down arrow  keys.
  4. On your keyboard, to change the width of your screenshot, press the Left arrow  or Right arrow  keys.
  5. To take a screenshot, you can also use the menu on your screen. At the bottom, select the time and then Screen capture.
