Navigating Classes in Smart Futures
Classes in Smart Futures are used as a basis for generating
reports. Your Classes don’t need to match your class periods exactly, unless
that’s what you prefer. Some find it helpful to create Classes based on Graduation
Year, while others prefer smaller groups – it’s up to you. Students can be
added to many Classes.
If your district is using Clever or ClassLink for rostering,
you may have Classes automatically created for you. In this case, you can
create additional Classes, but changes to the name or composition of your
Classes that are generated by a rostering system will be overwritten the next
time that rostering is synced.
To create a New Class, click on the Create New Class +
button. You will be prompted to give the Class a name and add any additional
comments or description you would like for the Class. Then click Save.
After you Save, you will be taken back to your Class list.
To add students to a Class, click on the See Roster button for the Class
name.
